REDCLIFFE Local Information
In 1824, Redcliffe became the site of the first European settlement in Queensland (originally called Red Cliff Point by Matthew Flinders after spotting the red cliffs from the sea), and Redcliffe Museum is now home to the table upon which Australia's Constitution was drafted.
Redcliffe offers many activities from skydiving to windsurfing, fishing, swimming, golf, bowls, etc., or take a joy flight for breathtaking views of the Glasshouse Mountains. Stroll through the Botanic Gardens, or enjoy a picnic at Settlement Cove Lagoon. Also only 30 minutes to Australia Zoo.
Experience Whale Watching from July through October - boats depart Redcliffe pier during the Humpback Whale migrating season - or take a day trip or a weekend dive trip to Moreton island.
